GAF Weather Stopper Integrated System Limited Warranty FAQ

Today, we’ll answer some commonly asked questions about GAF’s Weather Stopper Integrated System Limited Warranty.

• What Does the Warranty Cover? – GAF warrants that the GAF roof membrane, base flashing, high wall waterproofing flashing system, liquid-applied TOPCOAT® membrane or coating, VersaShield® Solo™ Fire-Resistant Slip Sheet, insulation, and expansion joint covers and accessories will be free of manufacturing defects and will withstand ordinary wear and tear. The maximum coverage period is 20 years.

• What Are the Exclusions from Coverage? – The warranty does not cover conditions other than leaks and leaks caused by any of the following: inadequate roof maintenance, improper workmanship, traffic on the roof, membrane color fading, unusual weather conditions and natural disasters, and any condition that is not in strict accordance with GAF’s application instructions. It’s important to work with a certified roofing company like us to avoid these problems.

• How Do I Notify GAF? – You must notify GAF in writing in the event of a leak caused by ordinary wear and tear or a manufacturing defect. You can do this by email (preferred) at guaranteeleak@gaf.com or by postal mail to GAF Guarantee Services, 1 Campus Drive, Parsippany, NJ 07054. You must provide proof of purchase and application date within 30 days of your leak discovery.
